“Scoil Mhuire gan Smál is an all-girls primary school

in Carlow Town. It is a vibrant school in which a very positive

learning environment has been created.”

Mission Statement

The staff of Scoil Mhuire gan Smál, in partnership with parents, guardians and Board, undertake to educate our children to their fullest potential, recognising and appreciating their diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.

Music is the heartbeat of Scoil Mhuire gan Smál! We have the most amazing staff and together we do all we can to nurture a love of music in our pupils.

Our school underwent a major building project in 2010-2011. While we remain a sixteen-classroom school, we gained eight newly-built classrooms and the original sixteen classrooms were re-aligned into eight.
